when your baby is doing brush make sure that they aren’t swallowing or licking the toothpaste.
-help your child to brush until you feel they can do it well by themselves.
Diet and decay:
-sugar causes tooth decay. It does not depend on the amount but, it depends on how long and how often teeth are in contact with sugar.
-Don’t give your baby sticky foods like a biscuit, chocolates, etc… even if you are giving make sure that it is washed out from the tooth surface immediately after having it or give it at mealtime.
-the sugar found naturally in whole fruit is not causing tooth decay.

-whenever you are feeding milk or giving sweet food at the night time to your baby make sure that doesn’t remain in the mouth,
so wipe the gums and teeth with wet cotton or brush the teeth before bedtime .if it retains there for long times leads to nursing bottle caries in children.

-when your baby starts eating semi-solid food encourage them to eat semisolid food or drink without sugar.
Regular dental check-up:
